Client Accounting and Advisory Services (CAAS) refers to a range of accounting and financial services provided by Bowers CPAs & Advisors. These services include outsourced CFO, Controller and accounting services including budgeting, forecasting, financial analysis, and strategic planning; financial statement preparation; full-service bookkeeping; vendor bill processing and payment; customer invoicing; payroll processing and tax reporting; and sales tax preparation. Due to the groups continued growth, we are recruiting for the CAAS Staff Accountant position in our Syracuse, NY office. Job Summary:
In this role, you will be a member of our CAAS group accountable for providing Accounting Specialist level accounting services including bookkeeping, processing payroll, payables and receivables, and various other accounting operations for assigned clients.
Responsibilities:
- Process accounts payable invoices and payments
- Process accounts receivable invoices and application of payments
- Process payroll processing and reporting
- Perform reconciliations of bank, credit, and loan accounts to the general ledger
- Prepare and file payroll and sales tax returns
Qualifications:
- AS in Accounting or equivalent experience
- Minimum of 2 years experience in accounting with 1 year supervisory experience
- Experience with QuickBooks
- High proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Excellent communicator
- Must have a high level of attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills
- Able to manage priorities and workflow
- Commitment to excellence and high standards
Salary: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
