Job Description:
The Chief Operating Officer is a member of our senior leadership team and is responsible for managing all administrative and operational decisions made in the Firm. The COO oversees the effective coordination of the Firm’s physical, human, intangible, and financial assets to ensure the highest level of success for the Firm and its team. This position works closely with the Managing Partner, executive team, and partners for oversight and integration of the operational functions, strategic plan execution, system/ procedural enhancements, and budgeting for the Firm. The COO ensures strategic alignment within all functions and decisions of the Firm and champions the overall organizational health and culture of the firm.
This position can be hybrid though requires an office presence with regular travel to Rochester and Watertown, NY offices.
Responsibilities & Requirements:
- Develop and implement operational strategies to drive efficiency and profitability.
- Oversee financial operations, budgeting, and forecasting.
- Collaborate with partners to develop and execute strategic initiatives.
- Evaluate and implement technology solutions to streamline processes and enhance productivity.
- Ensure compliance with industry regulations and firm policies.
- Solid understanding of financial reports and key performance indicators (KPI’s).
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, or a related field. CPA or MBA is a plus.
- Finance, Accounting, C-level experience, M&A's experience is highly recommended
- Strong business experience, responsible for financial objectives, client growth, strategic and operational excellence, managing departmental heads with expertise in planning and budgeting.
- Professional Services industry experience is required.
- Expertise with business functions/responsible for Finance, IT, Marketing, Human Resources and Contract Negotiations is required
- Proven leadership and management experience aligned with our firm's mission and industry is essential.
- Excellent people skills, with experience to build teams and be present for community-facing activities and networking events
Salary Range: $175,000 - $200,000 with performance incentives.
