Job Description: As a Revit Drafter, you will be responsible for supporting the Architecture Design Team and development of residential construction projects using Revit software. Working closely with our internal Architecture, Design and Production (“Construction Methodology”) Teams, you will play a key role in translating conceptual ideas into detailed construction plans and drawings. You'll also be encouraged to provide your vision for projects for Team consideration.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with Architects, Designers and Production Teams to develop and refine residential construction plans and drawings using Revit software. Responsible for the creation of plans from initial as-builts to finish permit set of plans.
- Create accurate 2D and 3D models, floor plans, elevations, and sections that reflect project specifications and client preferences.
- Assist in the development of design concepts, layouts, and material selections when applicable for residential projects.
- Generate detailed construction documentation, including schedules, notes, and specifications.
- Review and interpret architectural drawings, sketches, and design concepts to ensure accuracy and feasibility.
- Coordinate with internal teams to address design challenges, revisions, and client feedback in a timely manner.
- Maintain organized project files and documentation to facilitate communication and collaboration throughout the design process.
- Communicate effectively with architects, designers, and project stakeholders to convey ideas, concepts, and project updates.
- Stay abreast of industry trends, software updates, and best practices in residential construction drafting and design.
Qualifications:
- Team player that enjoys working with good and talented people.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in residential construction drafting, with proficiency in Revit software.
- Strong understanding of residential construction techniques, materials, and building codes.
- Demonstrated ability to develop concepts and translate them into detailed construction plans and drawings.
- Excellent proficiency in Revit, with a focus on modeling, plans development, detailing, and sections.
- Detail-oriented mindset with a keen eye for accuracy and precision.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt to changing project requirements and priorities.
