What are the responsibilities and job description for the Vision Therapy Assistant position at Bowersox Vision Center?
We are looking for someone who wants fulfillment out of their work and enjoys being in a busy, positive environment. We want team players and those that want to contribute to a "work family" environment.
The definition of Vision Therapy is:
Vision Therapy helps individuals develop normal coordination and teamwork of the two eyes (binocular vision). When the two eyes fail to work together as an effective team, performance in many areas can suffer (reading, sports, depth perception, eye contact, etc.).
We provide on the job training, with the opportunity to earn a specialized certification in Vision Therapy. Experience not required.
Vision Therapy assistant Job Requirements
*Must be able to work independently, as well as with a team
*A Quick Learner, outgoing and personable
*Must be a self-starter, possess a mature attitude, and have strong attention to detail
*Strong communication skills (written and verbal), attention to detail, and computer/keyboarding skills are required
*Experience working with children is a plus but not required
*The ability to speak Spanish is preferred, but not required
