**New 100 Bed Shelter for Women**
Located in Far Rockaway, our shelter provides a safe environment for individuals experiencing homelessness.
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate individual to assist with monitoring the residential program. The successful candidate will work as part of a team to maintain a safe and respectful environment.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for:
- Maintaining a safe environment through regular rounds and addressing the needs of residents
- Managing conflict or challenging behaviors with empathy and self-awareness
- Screening residents and visitors at the front door
- Creating written documentation, including logbook entries and incident reports
- Managing inventory and supplies
- Maintaining fire safety drills and logs
- Providing emergency first aid and CPR assistance when needed
- Assisting with inspections and audits
- Escorting clients and serving meals as needed
The successful candidate will have:
- A High School diploma or GED
- CPR Certification or the ability to obtain certification
- NYC Fire Safety Guard Certification or the ability to obtain certification
- Experience working with individuals experiencing homelessness (preferred)
- Effective communication skills and ability to maintain professional boundaries
