OverviewBusiness Operations Specialist : Bowhead is seeking a Business Operations Specialists for the upcoming NAVAIR Command Strategic Leadership Support Services effort in Patuxent River, MD. The NAVAIR Command Strategic Leadership Support Services program will focus on researching on the current philosophy and strategic initiatives within the Department of Defense (DoD), Department of the Navy (DoN), and the Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) including the Naval Aviation Enterprise (NAE) as well as the other services. The Business Operations Specialist serves as the senior technical advisor for strategies dealing with the long-range needs of the Navy.ResponsibilitiesDeveloping and applying advanced methods, theories, and research techniques in the investigation and solution of complex business problems or issues.In addition, develop business case analysis, prepare white papers, justifications, alternatives, and recommendations, and participate and support efforts associated with developing a Strategic Plan, Operating Plan, and other corporate initiatives.Analyzes complex requirements, status, budget, and schedules.Performs management, technical, or business case analyses. Collects, completes, organizes, and interprets data relating to NAVAIR command programs.Tracks program / project status and schedules.Applies government-instituted processes for documentation, change control management and data management.Other duties as assigned.Bowhead seeks to network with qualified individuals relative to a potential opportunity, which is contingent upon award and not currently funded. An AS or AA degree and an additional four (4) years of experience may be substituted for a BA / BS or an additional eight (8) years of experience may be substituted for a BA / BS.At least eight (8) years of hands-on experience in one of the following areas : business financial analysis, continual process improvement, communication techniques or managing data for large organizations.This individual must have experience working with industry / government executive level personnel. Demonstrated knowledge of management and operations of Department of Navy Systems Commands.Experience using and designing Microsoft 365 applications including office, power bi, SharePoint, PowerPoint, power automate and lists.Physical Demands : Must be able to lift up to 15 poundsMust be able to stand and walk for prolonged amounts of timeMust be able to twist, bend and squat periodicallyThe projected compensation range for this position is $120,000- $180,000. The pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other laws.SECURITY CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS : Must currently hold a security clearance at the Secret level.
