OverviewDATA ANALYST (RDTE)Bowhead has an immediate opening for a Data Analyst in Dahlgren, VA. The Data Analyst role is part of a business intelligence and data warehouse team tasked with providing data analysis, data design, systems development, training and customer support.ResponsibilitiesSystems development activities include data table / structure design, data acquisition, system specifications, data validation and documentation.Data Analyst support will also include development of data interface specifications, on-line query and report specifications, database load specifications, and data validation specifications.Customer support, including interfacing with customers, trouble shooting, product review and analysis and problem resolution.QualificationsFive 5 or more years of expereinceHigh School Diploma or Bachelors Degree preferedThe ability to apply analytical skills relating to database management and development Knowledge of relational database management systems and data warehousingExperience using Cognos Tool Suite to create reports and dashboardsSkill in writing and analyzing structured query language (SQL) queriesExperience and knowledge in mathematical reasoningAbility to communicate effectively orally and in writing for required customer support and requirements gathering and validationKnowledge of analytical tools and evaluation techniquesKnowledge of government accounting (highly desired : DOD Accounting)Physical Demands : Must be able to lift up to 10-15 pounds Must be able to stand and walk for prolonged amounts of timeMust be able to twist, bend and squat periodicallySECURITY CLEARANCE REQUIRED : Must be able to obtain and maintain a security clearance at the Secret level.
