Responsibilities:
ACQUISITION LOGISTICIAN | TIER II (MIELS):
Bowhead is seeking Acquisition Logisticians to support a customer in Stafford, VA. Support for the contract will consist of program management; logistics; asset management; engineering; customer service; research and development of new capabilities; test and evaluation; manpower, training, and personnel; new equipment fielding and training; financial management; information assurance; cybersecurity; and 24X7 enterprise services operations and sustainment.
- Supports defense acquisition and sustainment commands with life cycle logistics planning and execution.
- Provides subject matter expertise to assist Asset Management Team with acquisition logistics documentation such as Stock-Level 3 (SL-3s), Letter of Instructions (LOIs) and Modification Instructions (MIs). Review and revise documentation from Equipment Specialist.
- Establishes and assists in the planning, developing, coordination, defending, and executing all aspects of the PMs' Life Cycle Logistics support under the processes of DoD acquisition and sustainment.
- Produces acquisition logistics documentation in support of the PMs products.
- Assists in logistics automation using enterprise planning tools (GCSS-MC, DPAS, LMP, and etc.) for acquisition and sustainment operations.
- Directs the activities of a group of applicable stakeholders to conduct focused strategic planning and analysis for all life-cycle management functions.
- Assist with birthing and redistribution of Military Equipment.
- Support all aspects of the government property transfer process.
- Develop responses to property accountability RFIs.
- Support and assist with execution of equipment fielding by coordinating all fielding efforts.
- Assist in the development, revision, and update of acquisition documentation.
- Assist with recommendations to the government on Bill of Materials, Technical Data Packages, and Engineering Drawings for Provisioning.
- Assist in resolving warranty issues and coordinating warranty exchanges as needed.
- Use TFSMS to run reports.
- Bachelor’s degree, plus 5 years of acquisition logistics experience, preferably in a Marine Corps Systems Command program office or similar organization; OR 7 years of related work experience.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Power Point, Word, Excel, SharePoint, MS Project.
- Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
- Ability to work in a collaborative environment to cohesively meet the needs of the customer.
Physical Demands:
- Must be able to lift 25 pounds
- Must be able to stand and walk for prolonged amounts of time
- Must be able to twist, bend, and squat periodically
SECURITY CLEARANCE REQUIRED: Must currently hold a security clearance at the Top Secret/SCI level. US Citizenship is a requirement for Top Secret clearance at this location.
