Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with field data collection, including sampling soil, water, and other media.
- Support environmental site assessments, spill response, and cleanup activities.
- Conduct inspections and document findings following established protocols.
- Perform basic equipment maintenance and calibration.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure project deadlines and safety protocols are met.
- Prepare and maintain accurate field notes and records for reporting purposes.
· Perform other duties as assigned by your supervisor.
Responsibilities
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; coursework or degree in environmental science, biology, geology, or a related field preferred.
- Willingness to travel to remote locations and work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Effective communication skills and a team-oriented mindset.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
Qualifications
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous experience with environmental fieldwork or sampling.
- Knowledge of environmental regulations or safety standards
- This position requires critical thinking and analysis; frequent sitting, standing, walking, bending, and lifting and carrying 30 pounds; working in all weather conditions; field visits per project needs; ability to travel (drive or fly) to and from job sites in Alaska.
- Familiarity with GPS equipment and mapping tools.
