JOB SUMMARY
Under the direction of the Vice President of Shareholder Services, the Stock Manager will lead and oversee the Stock Department team by providing a high level of administrative support and excellent customer service to UIC shareholders. This position is based at the Corporate headquarters in Utqia?vik, Alaska.
Responsibilities :
ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES
The Stock Manager is responsible for the following :
- Provides managerial oversight to ensure stock department services and programs are efficient and effective; designs and implements new programs and processes to better assist shareholders with stock related issues.
- Administers, supervises, and directs the activity of the stock department staff to ensure the accomplishment of UICs mission, vision, and goals pertaining to shareholder and stock services; this includes setting goals and objectives for the stock department employees and evaluating the employees performance annually.
- Directs and supervises the overall operations of the stock department by proactively identifying operational risks & issues. Develops and implements solutions accordingly.
- Responsible for maintenance of shareholder records; encourages and guides the stock department to work closely with shareholders to continuously update their records and UIC stock information.
- Prepares direct and / or confidential written correspondence to address shareholder inquiries.
- Liaises the correspondence and communication between shareholders and VP of Shareholder Services; works closely with executive management to address, monitor, and successfully resolve a wide variety of shareholder issues.
- Reviews and approves all Class B enrollment applications; provides recommendations for all Class B applications.
- Provide excellent customer service to shareholders via in-person, phone or mail, daily.
- Notarize documents for shareholders upon request.
- Supports executive management for annual shareholder meetings; including but not limited to : Class B enrollment, overseeing elections, proxy solicitations, proxy entry, and generating content for corporate publications such as final election results.
- Oversee proxy, data entry and leads coordination of annual meeting mail-outs.
- Manages the transfer shares and Class B stock in database upon BOD approval.
- Leads the Stock team with annual meeting projects including registration.
- Oversees the project of dividends and tax disbursements.
- Enter and maintain shareholder data in shareholder database.
- Recruit, train, and retain Stock team members as needed.
- Other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION
Note : Years of applicable experience may be accepted in lieu of a bachelors degree

Responsible for recommendations of all Class B applications
Motivates and leads stock employees, managing deadlines and pushing the team to ensure productivity and timeliness.
