Overview
Technical Manager (MMAC-2025-22506):
Bowhead seeks to network with a Technical Manager for an upcoming proposal effort in Oklahoma City, OK. If awarded the contract provider is to supply test equipment maintenance and calibration support for the National Airspace System (NAS), and to other government agencies in accordance with terms outlined in interagency agreements and service orders.
Responsibilities
Job Duties to include but not limited to:
- Shall be responsible for the management and coordination of contract performance, and for providing technical guidance and supervision of all assigned Contractor personnel.
- Shall serve as the Contractor's central point of contact with the FAA COR in all matters related to contract performance.
- Tasks shall include but are not limited to:
- Central Point of Contract for the CO/COR
- Developing and maintaining program management plans including the Staffing Plan, Quality Control Plan, Transition-In Plan, and Transition-Out Plan.
- Managing the program for the Contractor.
- Maintain the appropriate staffing level required by the Government.
- Provide day-to-day supervision for Contractor’s employees.
- Notify Government point of contract no later than 30 minutes after shift begins when Contractor employees are not going report.
- Coordinate with COR on any Comp or OT requirements.
- Resolve discipline problems with Contractor’s employees.
- Tasks shall include but are not limited to:
- Shall ensure that sufficient Contractor employees are present to accomplish the work in accordance with the PWS and other terms and conditions of the contract during the hours 6:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m., which is considered prime operating hours.
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- An Associate’s degree or its equivalent in Electronic, Software, Electrical or Mechanical Technology is required.
- Precision Measurement Equipment (PME) certification from a Military Technical School, or Associate of Applied Science (A.A.S.) degree in electronics, or certified PME training record
- At least ten years’ experience in managing a metrology laboratory activity and supervising a technical staff including technicians.
- At least five years personal experience in metrology support for test equipment is required.
- Experience in managing and providing metrology support for NAS systems is highly desired.
- Knowledge of FAA systems and equipment is highly desired.
- Intermediate to advanced level skills in Microsoft Office software suite - Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint
- Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of employees and outside contacts
- Strong interpersonal skills and good judgment with the ability to work alone or as part of a team
Physical Demands:
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
- Must be able to stand and walk for prolonged amounts of time
- Must be able to twist, bend and squat periodically
SECURITY CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS: Must currently hold a security clearance at the Public Trust level. US Citizenship is a requirement for Public Trust clearance at this location.
