Overview
Bowhead seeks a Training Manager to support on-going and future efforts for the Air Education and Training Command flight training squadrons at Holloman AFB, NM. The primary focus is to support non-flying additional duty positions traditionally filled by rated aircrew members.
Responsibilities
• Maintain knowledge of training and certification programs• Support education and training tasks for operations and support training, education services, curriculum development and instructor activities• Stay up-to-date and track leadership’s priority for training, as well as stay current on upcoming deployment schedules for individuals in a training status • Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
• A minimum of a High School diploma or equivalent is required
• Minimum two years of experience working in a squadron Training Office• Demonstrated high degree of understanding and knowledge of procedures to include tactics, techniques and procedures, aircrew training, standardization and evaluation, publications management, exercise management, and mobility requirements• Knowledge of Air Force organizational structures, functions and procedures, as well as command relationships and responsibilities• PEX / GTIMS experience highly preferred
• Intermediate to advanced level skills in Microsoft Office software suite - Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint • Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of employees and outside contacts. • Strong interpersonal skills and good judgment with the ability to work alone or as part of a team
Physical Demands:• Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds • Must be able to stand and walk for prolonged amounts of time• Must be able to twist, bend and squat periodically
SECURITY CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS: Must currently hold a security clearance at the Secret level. US Citizenship is a requirement for Secret clearance at this location.
