Overview
UMIAQ Design, LLC is looking for an experienced professional to lead our growing Water & Sewer Support Group (WWSG), a specialized team delivering inspection, repair recommendations, upgrade designs, reporting, and contractor oversight services for public infrastructure on the North Slope. This position leads a group of five technical staff currently supporting multiple active contracts with the North Slope Borough.
As the WSSG Manager, you will work with facility Owners and Operators to develop annual operation and upgrade budgets, perform scheduled facility inspections, coordinate development of upgrade designs, oversee construction contractors, and provide technical support & status reporting during critical water leaks. In addition, you will manage WWSG staff and projects and help grow this service area as part of UMIAQ Design’s strategic goals.

Responsibilities
Essential Functions
- Work closely with Owner and Operators to assist in identifying and correcting existing and future problems/deficiencies
- Assist Owner with prioritizing and budgeting repairs and upgrades.
- Develop/maintain operations, inspections, design, and construction schedules.
- Work with Engineering Manager to prepare proposals for upgrade designs.
- Oversee upgrade designs and coordinate construction administration services
- Manage W&S Support Group staff and sub-contractors to meet project schedules and budgets.
Qualifications
Experience

- Minimum of 10 years of relevant Project Management experience or registered Professional Engineer.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience designing, constructing or operating water/ wastewater treatment plants.
- Minimum of 2 years managing personnel.
Authorized Driver Requirement: Employee must have a valid driver’s license and three (3) year clean driving record. Employee must follow all Authorized Driver Policy and Procedures regarding approved vehicle usage.
All employees must pass Non-DOT pre-employment drug screening and follow all UIC Non-DOT Drug and Alcohol Testing Program guidelines and requirements.
If working on a DOT project, employees must pass a DOT pre-employment drug screening and follow all DOT Drug and Alcohol Testing Program requirements.
Candidates must pass a background check in order to fill this position.
