Performance Responsibilities:
- Supervise all athletic programs in the district
- Schedule and assist in monitoring all athletic events
- Plan and schedule all athletic trips (meals, buses, lodging)
- Coordinate the sale and promotion of tickets for all athletic events
- Provide for security and crowd control of all athletic events held in our facilities (hire policemen)
- Determine and maintain eligibility of all athletes
- Prepare a budget for the athletic program
- Plan and prepare all athletic bids
- Supervise the preparation of athletic fields and buildings and secure needed materials, supplies, and equipment
- Assist in the recruitment of coaches
- Provide press accommodations at athletic events and assist in the preparation of press releases concerning athletic events
- Coordinate and approve the scheduling of game officials
- Coordinate pre-game, half-time, and post-game ceremonies at athletic events
- Welcome visiting teams and other guests
- Plan for supervised traffic control patterns
- Cooperate with the City Parks and Recreation Dept. in scheduling school facilities
- Ensure that all coaches attend required rules clinics, first aid, and CPR as required
- Make sure that all sports are in compliance with all KHSAA guidelines
- Attend athletic contests
- Prepare information packet or athletic handbook for student/athletes
- Ascertain that all students/athletes have medical insurance
- Demonstrate positive interpersonal relations by interacting effectively with and demonstrating respect for the views, rights and contributions of parents, teachers and other school personnel
- Maintain appropriate professional appearance
- Act as a consistent positive public relations agent for school and district programs and activities
- Maintain confidentiality of information regarding individual students and their families
- Implement and adhere to all rules and regulations, policies, administrative guidelines, and directives as adopted by the Board of Education, Principal, Administrative Staff, Superintendent and School Based Decision Making Council
- Maintain acceptable personal attendance without repeated unexcused absences, tardiness, absences without notification, or abuse of sick leave
- Perform any other duties that may be assigned by the Principal, Administrative Staff, or Superintendent
