LPN House Supervisor

• Role models expectations related to customer service and demonstrates a sense of urgency related to the importance of patient safety.
• Supervise daily clinical operations of staff for a unit or work group, make staff assignments, create schedules and update schedules for providers and support staff when changes are made.
• Responsible for directing care to patients, facilitating work flow, serving as a clinical resource for staff and for providing team leadership on a shift-to-shift basis.
• Provide nursing guidance and professional leadership to clinical and support staff.
• Contribute to staff evaluations and educating other team members to organizational policy and procedure.
• Complete and document necessary staff coaching, corrective action plans and annual performance evaluations.
• Assist with training of new and existing employees to ensure successful completion, timely completion of required annual training and maintenance of certification requirements.
• Identify and resolve work problems to maintain quality care and services, address concerns and complaints timely and professionally.
• Provide staffing coverage when necessary (vacation, sick calls, etc.).
• Prepare reports and manage assigned projects within an established deadline as directed.

• Perform other functions and tasks as assigned.

• Graduation from an accredited school of nursing required.
• Two or more years’ experience in nursing practice required.
• Two or more years’ experience with the population served by the facility preferred.
• Two or more years’ supervisory or charge nurse experience preferred.

• Current LPN/LVN license within the state where facility or clinic is providing service.
• CPR and de-escalation/restraint certification required (training available upon hire and offered by facility).
• First aid may be required based on state or facility.
