Job Summary

Production Team Members operate various metalforming machines to produce components for vehicles. This includes operating press and stamping equipment and welding assembly machines. Upon hire, employees will be assigned to work in one of these areas. Additional tasks may include quality assurance, performing basic troubleshooting and keeping workstations clean, among others.

Key Responsibilities of Production Team Member

Know and understand Bowling Green Metalforming Quality and Environmental policies.

Follows and supports and Magna’s operating principles

Follow Standard Operating Procedures established for each workstation.

Maintain integrity of quality to ensure finished product meets BGM standards, to include the changing of weld tips, wire spools, and cleaning of nozzles to ensure efficiency of weld robots. (Welding areas)

Ensure a quality product (measuring tools, part inspection and fixtures) and know and understand the quality procedures (Press areas)

Perform basic troubleshooting and setup (straighter, feeder and incidentals, conveyor, chutes) (Press areas)

Assist with developing set-up procedures (Press areas)

Support continuous improvement and lean manufacturing processes

Comply with our quality culture to ensure quality products- “Do not take one, do not make one, and do not pass one along”.

Maintain proper documentation of production.

Flexible to work overtime.

Perform other duties as required.
