Summary
The Coordinator for Residential Engagement is responsible for planning and executing residence hall events, coordinating with staff, and advising on student programming boards to enhance residential engagement. It includes managing space reservations in and around the residence halls and representing Residence Life on university-wide committees and signature programs. The position also requires participation in official functions and committees at various levels. Providing support to the Assistant Director of Student Engagement and handling additional tasks as assigned are integral parts of the role. Overall, the focus is on fostering community, supporting student engagement, and managing logistical and programmatic aspects of Residence Life activities.
Essential Functions
- Assist in the planning and implementation of University-wide special programs and events in the residence halls. (i.e. Fall Welcome, Homecoming Falcon Family Weekend)
- Develop, plan and execute Residence Hall events, in coordination with the Hall Director and the Resident Advisor Staffs.
- Advise residence life programming board in efforts to engage residential students.
- Oversee Residence Life Space reservations. Both inside the residence halls and outdoor space around the residence halls.
- Represents Residence Life on University-wide committees such as Homecoming, and advises several signature programs.
- Participate and represent the University, Division, and department on committees and at official functions.
- Provide assistance and support to the Assistant Director of Student Engagement and complete other duties as assigned.
