Job Summary: The Human Resources Coordinator performs a wide range of administrative duties in all functional areas of HR. The role supports the other HR roles in the department and is a growth-driven position that provides opportunity to advance into any of the other functional areas of the department based on the skills and interests of the incumbent.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
- Coordinating new hire onboarding and processing related paperwork; maintains all employee personnel files.
- Processing all status changes including promotions, demotions, transfers, compensation changes, etc.
- Responding to employee questions regarding leaves, benefits, policies, handbook, etc.
- Posting jobs internally and externally and helping in other areas of recruitment as needed.
- Processing HR-related invoices/bills.
- Administering and ensuring compliance with Visa, EADs, etc.
- I-9 expert, ensuring forms are completed correctly, performing regular audits, ensuring documents are current for non-residents.
- Performing system integration between ADP and vendors.
- In charge of EEOC reporting.
- In charge of unemployment reporting.
- Helps with company culture programs (i.e. positive employee relations campaign, roundtable)
- Performs data entry and related processing for terminated employees; maintains terminated employee files and destruction.
- Enroll associates in benefits coverage, answer any benefits issues, and ensure compliance with government laws (I.E. ACA reporting, 401(k) compliance, etc).
- Helps with open enrollment process.
- Serves on Employee Events/Give Back and other committees as HR representative.
- Serves in an administrative capacity to HR Director and other members of HR team as needed.
- Brainstorms and executes HR solutions to streamline processes, improve employee retention, enhance company values, support leadership, etc.
- Other duties, as assigned.
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Bachelor’s in Human Resources, Management, Business Administration, or a related field and/or experience in HR preferred.
- Ability to prepare clear, concise, and complete analyses, proposals, reports, and communications.
- Ability to interpret, explain, and apply applicable laws and codes to internal policies and procedures.
- Highly detail oriented.
- Strong interpersonal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate with all levels of the organization.
- Willing to work off shifts, as needed.
- Excellent judgment and problem-solving skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and internet applications.
- SHRM-CP or PHR preferred.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Bi-lingual Spanish/English preferred.
Working Environment:
The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an associate encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. Considerable time will be spent working within an office environment as well as on the production and warehouse floors. The incumbent will be exposed to long periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer. Exposure to loud noises from production equipment and moving mechanical parts will also occur.

While performing the duties of this job, the associate is regularly required to stand, sit, walk, use hands to handle, or feel objects, equipment, or controls; reach with hands and arms; see, talk and /or hear. The associate frequently is required to lift, bend, climb or balance and stoop, kneel, sit, crouch and /or crawl. The associate will be required to frequently travel up and down stairs and other uneven work surfaces. The associate is occasionally required to taste, touch or smell.
The associate will regularly need to lift up to 25 pounds, and occasionally push or pull up to 50 pounds.
