Job Summary
As an Apprentice Plumber, you will work under the guidance of experienced plumbers to learn the skills necessary for a successful career in plumbing. This role offers hands-on training and the opportunity to develop expertise in various plumbing tasks.
Responsibilities
- Assist in installing and maintaining plumbing systems in residential and commercial settings
- Learn to read blueprints and follow detailed instructions
- Help with pipe assembly, cutting, and threading
- Gain experience in soldering, welding, and brazing pipes
- Utilize power tools and hand tools effectively
- Perform basic math calculations related to plumbing projects
- Support senior plumbers in troubleshooting and repairing plumbing issues
- Develop knowledge of construction plumbing techniques
Requirements
- Interest in carpentry, construction sites, and mechanical work
- Ability to learn pipe threading, welding, and how to assemble plumbing components
- Proficiency with power tools and hand tools
- Basic understanding of math for measurements and calculations
- Mechanical knowledge is a plus for working with plumbing systems
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00 - $24.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 β 50 per week
