System Engineer Tier 2.5 – MSP
Location: Annapolis, MD
Salary: $70,000 – $100,000
Are you an experienced MSP engineer ready to tackle complex IT challenges while supporting a diverse client base? We are looking for a Tier 2.5 Systems Engineer to join our team, delivering high-level technical support, network optimization, and infrastructure solutions for small to mid-sized businesses.
What You’ll Do
- Implement and troubleshoot network infrastructures including firewalls, routers, and switches.
- Support Windows Server environments (Active Directory, Group Policy, Exchange/Exchange Online).
- Resolve advanced networking and security issues both onsite and remotely.
- Act as a technical advisor to clients, ensuring IT systems align with business goals.
- Collaborate with project teams on cloud migrations, security upgrades, and system deployments.
- Document system configurations, client environments, and network changes for seamless operations.
- Conduct regular system audits, performance monitoring, and compliance reporting.
What We’re Looking For
- 3 years of experience in an MSP environment handling network and system administration.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft 365, Azure, Windows Server, VMware, and networking protocols.
- Hands-on experience with firewalls (SonicWall, Fortinet, Cisco), routers, and switches.
- Ability to analyze complex technical issues and provide long-term solutions.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills to interact with business clients.
- Certifications such as CompTIA Network , Microsoft, or Cisco are a plus.
