What are the responsibilities and job description for the Hyundai Service Technician position at Bowser Automotive, Inc.?
Bowser Hyundai of Chippewa is seeking an experienced Hyundai Service Technician skilled in quickly and efficiently diagnosing, inspecting and repairing vehicles brought to the Hyundai Service Department. The ideal candidate will possess an Emissions and Inspection License, attend Hyundai certified training, comply with all requirements and stay abreast of changing technologies while delivering the best customer service to our customers.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Test vehicle parts and systems for correct operation
- Identify mechanical problems, often by using diagnostic equipment
- Follow checklists to ensure all checks are conducted on each vehicle
- Replace and/or repair worn parts
- Explain automotive problems to customers when necessary
- Maintain all trainings mandated by the dealership
- Abide by government regulations
- Comply with Bowser safety policies and procedures
- Other miscellaneous duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS:
- ASE Certification preferred.
- Hyundai Service training preferred.
- PA Emissions and Inspection License
- General mechanical skills.
- High School Diploma or Equivalent.
- Valid PA Driver's License.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Standing/walking/vending/stooping approximately 8 hours/day
- Ability to lift no more than 50lbs at a time
