Title: Group Fitness Instructor
Reporting Relationship: Organizational Development
General Summary of Responsibilities: Develop, promote, and instruct fitness classes for members on a daily basis or as needed. Maintains and supervises the fitness class operations during normal operation hours. Monitors member's attendance of fitness classes, cleans, and maintains all equipment in the wellness center. Fitness Class instructor is also responsible for answering member questions and monitor for safe and effective use of exercise equipment. Performs duties of the wellness center front desk operations related to: client check in, orientation and membership paperwork, retail sales, and clerical phone and computer duties. Employee will instruct wellness center patrons in the effective use of a wide variety of cardio and fitness equipment, and monitors orderly operation of the fitness room. Assist Wellness Coordinator with assigned tasks.
Job Qualifications:
Education:
Required: High School Diploma or G.E.D.
Experience:
Preferred: 1 year personal training experience. Exercise and equipment experience.
License/Certifications:
Preferred: Group Fitness Class Instructor Certification
Conditional: CPR - Basic Life Support - within 3 months of the hire date.
