Title: Manager of Case Management/UR
Reporting Relationship: Chief Quality Officer (CQO)
General Summary of Responsibilities:
The Special Services Clinical Manager is responsible for providing leadership and supervision to staff within the departments of Case Management, Social Services, Swing Bed Behavioral Health Crisis Response, and Inpatient Utilization Review. This role encompasses oversight of staff who manage patient care across all age groups. The manager will ensure the development, implementation, and compliance with regulatory standards, standards of care, and corporate compliance policies. Responsibilities also include all aspects of staff management, development, feedback, and evaluation.
The manager is accountable for budget management, participation in department-specific and organizational performance improvement initiatives, and adherence to the organization’s mission, vision, and values. This position serves as a resource for Special Services staff, the organization, and the community, actively seeking insights from industry experts.
Collaboration with medical and nursing staff, as well as direct interaction with the CQO and Quality Division managers, is essential. The manager will provide support in areas such as Infection Prevention, Occupational Health, Quality, and Safety.
Job Qualifications:
Education:
- Required: Graduate of a practical nursing program or a Social Worker who has completed an approved course of study and holds a bachelor’s degree in social work.
Experience:
- Required: Three years of recent clinical and/or medical office experience.
- Preferred: One year of recent acute hospital experience; rural health care experience; proficiency in word processing and database programs.
Licenses/Certifications:
- Required: Current and valid Nebraska RN License or Social Work License in Nebraska; Basic Life Support (BLS) certification for healthcare workers.
Personal Skills:
- Superior verbal communication skills are required. Must demonstrate the ability to work independently with keen attention to detail.
Additional Requirements:
- Upon hire, must provide a copy of the Immunization Record and disclose your current influenza immunization status.
