Position Overview

Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement individualized physical therapy programs based on patient evaluations.
- Administer therapeutic exercises and assist patients with functional activities such as walking, daily living tasks, and using assistive devices (e.g., crutches, canes, prosthetics).
- Utilize physical agents and equipment like ultrasound, moist packs, electrical stimulation, and traction to manage pain and improve function.
- Perform manual therapy techniques, including massage and body mechanics, to address patient needs.
- Track patient progress and adjust treatment plans to optimize outcomes.
- Provide education and guidance to patients and their families for home care.
- Evaluate and adjust orthotic/prosthetic devices as needed and collaborate with the orthotist for modifications.
- Work closely with physicians and other healthcare providers to integrate physical therapy into broader treatment plans.
- Supervise and mentor assistants, aides, and students, and may assist in research and teaching.
- Master’s degree in Physical Therapy.
- National certification in Physical Therapy.
- Active Physical Therapist licensure in Nebraska.
- CPR certification within 3 months of hire.
- Demonstrates strong interpersonal skills and a positive attitude with patients, families, and colleagues.
