Radiologic Technologist –
Overview: We are seeking a dedicated Radiologic Technologist to join our team at Box Butte General Hospital. In this role, you will perform radiographic and medical imaging examinations as ordered by healthcare providers, ensuring all services align with our hospital’s commitment to high-quality diagnostic care. Your work will contribute to our mission of providing exceptional patient care in a professional and ethical manner.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform radiographic and related procedures using a variety of technical skills; cross-train in CT following departmental orientation.
- Operate under the direct supervision of the Diagnostic Imaging Manager.
- Ensure quality assurance and quality control in all radiographic procedures.
- Communicate effectively with staff, healthcare professionals, physicians, patients, and the community to foster a positive departmental image and coordinate high-quality patient care.
- Uphold confidentiality regarding all hospital-related information.
- Participate in flexible staffing, including potential PRN shifts as needed.
- Transport patients between various care areas, being mindful of their individual needs.
- Maintain accurate patient records and reports.
- Adhere to radiation safety protocols for yourself and patients.
- Adapt to changing workloads and demonstrate a willingness to cross-train in other radiological modalities.
- Engage in performance evaluations, setting individual goals and reviewing progress with the department manager.
- Commit to professional development by fulfilling annual competency requirements.
- Maintain focus and concentration amidst potential interruptions, with strong memory retention for tasks throughout your shift and on call hours.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications:

Education:
- Required: High School diploma or equivalent. Graduate in good standing from a JRC/AMA-accredited Radiologic Technology Program. Associate's Degree in Applied Science.

Experience:
- Required: Formal training in a JCAHO-accredited facility.

Licensure/Certifications:
- Must maintain current AART certification and a State of Nebraska Medical Radiographer License.
