CLASS TITLE: Truck Driver
DEPARTMENT: Road
EFFECTIVE DATE: July 2023
GENERAL PURPOSE
Performs a wide variety of skilled truck driving and equipment operating. Must be a competent Driver able to run end dump, belly dump, and snowplow. Must be willing and able to plow snow at all times of the day and night, seven days a week. Must have a general knowledge of how to maintain, service, and notice needed repairs to semi trucks, equipment, and automotive vehicles due to regard for personal safety of you, other employees and the public.
SUPERVISION RECEIVED
Works under the general supervision of the Road Department Supervisor or Lead Foreman of the Project.

EXAMPLE OF DUTIES
Haul gravel in belly dump trailers
Plow snow in the winter time
Run chips to the chipper in an end dump
Run a roller
Be a certified flagger
Run a water truck/tanker
Stay out west on projects for the week
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Experience:
- Two or more years utilizing a Class A CDL
- Prefer two years experience with equipment.
Ability to establish and maintain working relationships with employees, other agencies and the public; ability to follow written and verbal instructions; ability to communicate effectively, verbally and in writing.

Valid Utah Class A Commercial Driver License
Have a current medical card
