Job Summary
Senior Accountant shall lead BOXABL’s accounting staff through monthly closing cycles and financial reporting, providing reviews of workpapers and making recommendations for process improvements and controls. The Senior Accountant shall be responsible for maintaining the accuracy and integrity of financial statements, manage the cost accounting, manage revenue recognition cycle as well as ensuring compliance with applicable regulations, including SEC Reporting. As a critical member of the finance team, the Senior Accountant will ultimately have responsibility for overseeing day-to-day accounting staff operations.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
- Responsible for maintaining the Company’s Record-to-Report, Cash-to-Close, and Procure-to-Pay Cycles.
- Lead physical inventory counts and continuously improve the cost accounting environment.
- Prepare consolidated financial statements and footnotes on SEC Forms 10-K and 10-Q.
- Review accounting entries, maintaining an accurate record of transactions in NetSuite.
- Implement and Monitor internal controls in FloQast Compliance.
- Supervise month-end closing process and reconciliation process – improving the closing timetable.
- Review the Cap Table Updates, including accounting for equity issuances, and reconciliations to Transfer Agent records.
- Supervise SEC Reporting process, including ‘tie-out file’ documentation to support SEC Filings.
- Facilitate audits, reviews, and general communications with External Auditors.
- Coordinate with 3rd Party Tax Adviser for preparation, filings, and remittance of taxes
- Monitor KPIs & recommend process improvements.
- Support the preparation of materials for Meetings with Board of Directors, Audit Committee, and Investors.
- Lead Variance Analysis, Balance Sheet Reviews, and perform ad-hoc financial analysis and other financial-related duties as needed.
- Manage Certifications from Officers and Task Owners.
