Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Electrical Project Estimator to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in the pre-construction phase by accurately assessing project costs and preparing detailed estimates. The Project Estimator will work closely with project managers, architects, and other stakeholders to ensure that all aspects of the project are considered in the estimation process.
Responsibilities
- Develop comprehensive cost estimates for Electrical part of construction projects based on plans, specifications, and site conditions.
- Collaborate with project managers to analyze project requirements and scope of work.
- Utilize software tools such as Quantum for accurate quantity take-offs and cost calculations.
- Conduct site visits to assess conditions and gather necessary information for estimating purposes.
- Prepare detailed proposals and contracts for client review, ensuring all pricing is competitive yet profitable.
- Negotiate pricing with subcontractors and suppliers to secure favorable terms for the company.
- Monitor project costs throughout the construction process to ensure adherence to budget constraints.
- Provide support in project management activities as needed, including tracking changes in scope or design that may impact costs.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Project Estimator in the construction industry, with a strong understanding of construction management principles.
- Strong negotiation skills with the ability to effectively communicate with various stakeholders.
- Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail for accurate cost assessment.
- Familiarity with cost control measures and techniques to manage budgets effectively.
