Boyd Brothers Transportation currently has a job opening for a Fleet Manager. This role is responsible for ensuring that drivers are matched to loads. This role requires someone who can multi-task in a fast-paced environment and must be detailed oriented.
Role and Responsibilities
1. Dispatch assigned fleet
2. Manage availability of Owner Operators, Lease, Company drivers and equipment to maximize utilization and operational goals.
3. Efficiently manage assigned fleets maintenance schedule
4. Verifying accuracy of driver pay
5. Ensure safety compliance for their fleet such as hour of service, random DOT drug screen, recertification physicals, work related injuries etc.
6. First point of contact for any driver issues and concerns and work to resolve those issues
7. Driver coaching
8. Manage ETA, PTA to ensure accurate time of delivery
9. Ensure all computer information is entered in an accurate and timely manner, driver inputting on macros correctly
10. Maintain professional communication with drivers
11. Recommend or implement disciplinary actions and documentation as necessary
12. Monitor and look for means to reduce deadhead
13. Maintain open communication with customer service reps
14. Maintain proper satellite communication
15. Review all driver off time request
16. Monitor driver fuel compliance to ensure it meets company standards
17. Focus on maintain fleet retention goals.
18. Completion of other duties as assigned by supervisor or other designated authority
