The Reginal Rental Manager directs and controls all rental and sales activity in assigned region and implements rental / sales policy in the respective rental region through direct supervision of rental representatives to achieve rental market share, and profit objectives.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent industry experience
- Travel to branches or other locations as required to perform assigned duties
- Maintain a valid motor vehicle operators' license
- Ability to communicate effectively in spoken and written English
- Ability to operate a P.C. (Windows, Excel, Word, etc.)
- Able to climb on, operate, and inspect equipment
- Direct Rental Sales Representatives, Customer Rental Representatives and assist DSRs to obtain optimum rental, sales, market share, and profitability
- Minimum 2 years management experience
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Develop business and personal relationships with new, existing, or prospective rental customers at the appropriate level and monitor, improve relationships to maximize sales and ensure total customer satisfaction is achieved
- Supervise Rental Sales Representatives and Customer Rental Representatives to ensure proper rental and sales coverage, customer relations, communications (oral and written), market intelligence, machine demonstrations, and expense control
- Travel with Rental Sales Representatives to analyze and improve performance, territory coverage, management, and selling skills, and to foster a good working relationship
- Develop a thorough understanding and knowledge of assigned markets and products
- Develop merchandising/focus programs by communicating with manufacturers
- Develop market strategies to improve Company performance in assigned markets
- Submit annual business plan, achieve annual sales forecasts, objectives, and budgets
- Based on assigned market and product responsibilities and in conjunction with Sales and Marketing Division, develop focus-incentive/merchandising plans and develop/implement appropriate training initiatives for targeted market-product performance achievement
- Conduct rental/sales meetings and training programs to ensure managers and rental representatives are knowledgeable and continue to expand their understanding of products, services, applications, markets, competitive activity, and selling skills
- Work closely with all Department Managers in order to support the business plan and branch objectives or in response to a specific needs such as customer relations, a branch requirement, process improvement, etc.
- Ensure all Rental Standard Operating Procedures are followed by the Customer Rental Reps and Rental Sales Reps
- Direct all "Key Account" activity in respective sales region for established Key Accounts
- Monitor, evaluate, and report overall market conditions, business activities and related industry developments and trends to determine their effect on the Company and propose appropriate responses
- Identify areas for new or increased rental development as a means to continually expand and improve Company rental revenues and market coverage
- Approve all rental deals and commissions promptly and accurately
- Work with employees to set aggressive professional and achievable goals to enhance performance
- Perform other duties as necessary and assigned
