What are the responsibilities and job description for the Product Support Representative position at Boyd CAT?
REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent industry experience
- Good understanding of machine applications and systems required
- Excellent communication and presentations skills needed
- Ability to operate a P.C. (Windows, Excel, Word, etc.)
- Applicant must be willing to relocate into the PSSR territory
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Travel to customer locations as required, in various environmental conditions, to conduct sales calls, meetings, and perform equipment inspections
- Maintain a valid driver’s license
- Maintain a high level of product knowledge and merchandising programs offered by the company and Caterpillar
- Achieve parts and service sales objectives in assigned territory
- Assist the Parts and Service Departments in preparing estimates, settling controversies, investigating customer product problems, and investigating past due accounts as requested
- Develop potential customer base in assigned territory and assist new customers in opening accounts
- Monitor and report all pertinent parts and service marketing information relative to competitive activity, customer information, and product performance
- Perform inspections as required
- Perform other duties as necessary and assigned
