What are the responsibilities and job description for the Undercarriage Rebuilder position at Boyd CAT?
DESCRIPTION:
Rebuilds undercarriage components for revenue customers and the Company Exchange Program.
Compensation: up to $25.90 per hour.
REQUIREMENTS:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- One year previous mechanical experience
- Ability to read and comprehend repair manuals
- Ability to use micrometer and other basic measuring tools
- General knowledge of welding and the use of torch for heating and welding
- May be required to possess a Commercial Driver's License based on department operational needs
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Ability to stand for extended time periods
- Must be able to work in high temperature environment
- Assists in or directly disassembles, cleans, inspects, make repairs, and assembles undercarriage components
- Training in the operation of various machinery to fulfill reconditioning requirements to include Idler Welders, Roller assembly and disassembly tooling and Track Presses
- Works with hazardous waste and receives Hazardous Waste Training every year
- Must be able to work overtime including weekends, as required
- Performs other duties as necessary and assigned
