Boyd Civil Engineering, Inc. is seeking a dedicated and experienced Senior Civil Engineer to join our Orlando-based consulting firm. The right candidate would be responsible for civil plan production, design, permitting, construction documents, client relations, and general project management for residential and commercial land development and civil engineering infrastructure projects.
Salary Range : $85,000 - $110,000 / year benefits

Hybrid work schedule : Monday through Thursday in-office, Fridays are remote.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Work on large-scale, high-profile projects in the residential, commercial, resort, and hospitality industries.
Collaborate with design teams while preparing plans, technical specifications, and cost estimates.
Prepare and review engineering calculations, site civil, land development, stormwater, utility designs, and specifications.
Prepare and submit permit applications and conduct presentations at public hearings to support the project development, permit applications for land use projects, and the Client.
Attend Client and project team meetings, follow project schedules, and follow through with Clients.
Assist with construction projects, including construction administration, acceptance testing, managing payment requests, schedule management, design changes, submittals, and RFIs.
Required Qualifications
Minimum of four (4) years of civil engineering work experience.
Professional Engineer (P.E.) license or Engineer Intern (E.I.) license in the State of Florida or ability to obtain a Florida P.E. or E.I. license within six months of start date.
Client-focused with a strong attention to detail and follow through.
Team player with the ability to collaborate well with others and build long-term relationships.
Desired Experience
Experience in management, planning, design, and construction administration of general civil engineering infrastructure projects, including water / wastewater systems, grading and drainage, and road design.
Experience with hydraulic and hydrologic design and modeling.
Permitting experience with local jurisdictions and agencies in Orange, Osceola, Lake, Polk, Volusia, Seminole, and Brevard Counties.
Design experience with : ICPR, AutoCAD, AutoCAD Civil 3D, AutoTurn, StormCAD, and WaterCAD.
Excellent written and oral communication skills, ability to communicate ideas and technical information to staff, supervisors, and clients in a professional manner.
Competent in the use of Microsoft Office products [Project, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook].
