**Job Summary:**
The Director of Indirect Purchasing is a key leadership role responsible for building and leading the organization's indirect purchasing function. Reporting to the Vice President of Procurement, this position requires a strategic and hands-on leader who can establish, develop, and optimize purchasing processes, policies, and supplier relationships across our North American footprint.
**Responsibilities:**
- Develop and execute a comprehensive indirect purchasing strategy aligned with business objectives.
- Design and implement standardized purchasing processes, policies, and best practices to ensure efficiency, consistency, and compliance across the organization.
- Collaborate with key stakeholders to identify indirect purchasing needs, define priorities, and establish performance metrics.
- Build and manage strong relationships with suppliers, ensuring alignment with company standards, goals, and cost targets.
- Lead negotiations with suppliers to secure favorable terms, pricing, and service level agreements, balancing quality, cost, and operational requirements.
- Establish performance measurement tools to track supplier performance and hold vendors accountable to service and quality expectations.
- Lead, mentor, and manage a small team of procurement professionals, providing guidance and support.
