Essential Functions
- Perform diagnostics and troubleshooting on heavy trucks and equipment to identify and address mechanical problems.
- Carry out repairs and routine maintenance on diesel engines, transmissions, brakes, electrical systems, and other vital components.
- Conduct inspections of vehicles to ensure they comply with regulatory standards and company policies.
- Utilize specialized tools and equipment, such as hydraulic jacks, air tools, and diagnostic software, to perform repairs.
- Maintain accurate records of repairs, services, and maintenance schedules.
- Collaborate with other mechanics and team members to share knowledge and solve complex issues.
- Steel-toe boots: Essential for protecting feet from heavy objects or machinery.
- Safety gloves: Required to prevent hand injuries.
- Safety glasses: Protects eyes from debris and hazardous materials.
