The Events Manager is responsible for organizing and managing Boyer's fundraising events, including but not limited to the annual Auction and the annual RBC Race.

- Understand and ensure alignment of Boyer's mission and philanthropic endeavors.
- Provide ideas and insights to improve Boyer's current events, and adopt new ones.
- Consult with CDO, ED, and other members of the Development Team, to assess and understand fundraising goals and needs for events.
- Assess event needs regarding facilities, technical support requirements, food, signage, music, etc.
- Manage sponsorship strategic plan, including researching prospects, composing sponsorship packet, cultivating and stewarding corporate sponsor partnerships throughout the year.
- Support volunteer coordination by helping to recruit and manage event volunteers; manage thank you process for volunteers post-event.
- Responsible for overall guest experience for key events from registration, day of, and post-event follow-ups.
- Work with Senior Development & Communications Manager on event collateral, including social media posts, signage, thank yous, asks, and e-newsletter communications.
- Research and tour venues for events, as needed.
- Maintain positive working relationships with event vendors.
- Compile price lists and, with CDO involvement, negotiate contracts for services, dates, times, and spaces.
- Ensure events meet legal, safety, and health requirements and regulations; obtain necessary permits from fire and health departments.
- Coordinate registration process for event participants; ensure appropriate communication is relayed with necessary details.
- Manage all administrative duties and details associated with the event including financial operations, distribution of promotional materials, and responding to inquiries.
- Develop and maintain current lists of available venues and services, and pricing options.
- Maintain current knowledge of event planning standards and trends by attending seminars, consulting with other professionals, and reading trade publications.
- Other duties as assigned.

Must possess a valid Washington State Driver’s License, automobile insurance, and a reliable means of transportation.

Work Environment, Physical Demands & Travel Requirements
The work environment for this position is a typical office environment, both onsite and remotely. The physical demands for this position require the employee to use computers and sit / stand in an office environment. When setting up for, working at, and taking down events, physical requirements include lifting (up to 25 pounds), standing and walking for long periods of time, and crouching / stooping on occasion.
Hours will increase during weeks leading up to the events, on the day of the event, and the days after.
Travel requirements include the ability to transport oneself to appointments or between offices as necessary, on a daily basis. Must possess a valid Washington State Driver’s license and automobile insurance if driving a vehicle.
