Boyer & Ritter, one of Central Pennsylvania’s leading professional service firms, providing audit, tax and consulting services. We are seeking an experienced Business Valuation Manager. Our valuation advisory services include valuations of business entities and intellectual property to assist clients with mergers, acquisitions, taxation, financial reporting, litigation and strategic planning. Our team also provides specialized valuation services that focus on assisting clients address corporate succession and exit planning.
Valuation is a central theme that overlays and intersects with many of the strategic initiatives of the firm’s closely-held clients which crosses over many industries. Our valuation group works with clients directly and other firm personnel to assist in solving complex business and transaction issues in concert with prevailing accounting, tax, financing, litigation, strategic planning, and compliance purposes.
Position Purpose:
The Business Valuation Manager will serve as a key member of the Boyer & Ritter Business Valuation Group, taking substantial responsibility in performing business valuations for financial reporting, tax reporting, transactions, litigation support and other purposes. The professional will also work closely with the practice leader in key business development initiatives.
Essential Responsibilities and Duties:
- Oversee multiple business valuation and financial advisory engagements simultaneously
- Demonstrated ability to work independently to interface with client management, gather facts, organize data, analyze financial statements and other financial data, and identify relevant issues
- Prepare financial models and write technical reports
- Cultivate and maintain positive, productive, and professional relationships with colleagues and clients
Qualifications:
- Bachelor Degree in Accounting, along with 6 years professional experience in public accounting or consulting
- Minimum experience of 4 years-experience performing valuations for tax reporting, financial reporting and litigation support purposes
- CPA certification/license and valuation credentials such as CVA, ABV or ASA preferred
- Team player
- Available to travel overnight as needed
- Strong project management skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Demonstrated industry knowledge and business acumen
