Meat Cutters & Apprentice Trainees
We are seeking experienced meat cutters and individuals who want to start a new career as apprentice trainees. Our hands-on training program will help you earn while you learn and develop valuable skills in butchering and customer service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Greet customers with a friendly approach and assist with their meat orders.
- Accurately process orders, ensuring highest quality, correct quantity, and price.
- Engage customers with suggestive selling to promote products and drive sales.
- Handle returns and exchanges according to store procedures.
- Cut and grind meat to meet our standards of excellence.
- Keep display cases full, clean, and attractive while rotating stock.
- Ensure all products are fresh, properly labeled, and safe for sale.
- Maintain a clean, organized department, adhering to food safety and sanitation procedures.
- Follow all store and department policies to ensure quality and safety.
- Work closely with the Meat Manager to meet department goals and maintain operations.
- Perform additional tasks as assigned to support department success.
Essential Qualifications/Skills:
- Food prep experience preferred.
- Ability to read, write, and do basic math.
- Strong attention to detail, including smell, sight, and color recognition.
- Clear communication skills and excellent customer service.
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions with precision.
- Safety-conscious, with the ability to work efficiently and safely in a fast-paced environment.
- Positive attitude and team-oriented mindset.
