We are looking for a responsible individual to develop and implement our Mental Health Mobile Crisis Response Team in an effort to provide resources and support to those in need. To succeed in this role, you should have excellent time management and communication skills, as you’ll collaborate with clients, groups, and agencies to provide assistance to individuals in need.

Responsibilities

  • Responds to emergency calls alongside EMS personnel and other team members and provides immediate support and crisis intervention to individuals experiencing mental health crisis.
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments of individuals in crisis, assessing needs, risk factors and safety concerns
  • Collaborate with the team to formulate appropriate intervention strategies. Identify and facilitate access to community resources, social services, and mental health resources that can aid individuals and families in crisis. Provide referrals to external agencies when necessary
  • Develop and implement crisis management plans in collaboration with the individual in crisis, their families and other stakeholders involved in their care.
  • Provide ongoing support during and after crisis to ensure the individual's safety and wellbeing. Maintain accurate and up to date records of all interactions, assessments, interventions and referrals made.
  • Prepare necessary documentation and forms adhering to all legal and ethical guidelines
  • Participate in team meetings, case conferences and training as required.
  • Participate in community outreach programs, educational initiatives, and awareness campaigns to promote mental health wellness, crisis prevention and early intervention

Skills

  • Proven work experience as a Social Worker or similar role
  • Experience in crisis response and assisting individuals in acute crisis.
  • Solid organizational skills, including multitasking and time-management
  • Strong client-facing and teamwork skill
  • Bachelor's degree in Social Work or other related field
  • Qualified as an EMT would be a plus

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $19.50 - $23.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
