BM- Fritz Camp Manager

This full-time, seasonal position is responsible for the leadership and accountability of the Fritz Camp team. The Fritz Camp Manager is responsible for planning, coordination, and delivery of Fritz Camp programing at Boyne Mountain Resort. The Fritz Camp Manager is an active, problem-solving leader with a focus on safety, fun, and learning.

Essential Job Functions (including but not limited to):

• Accountable for Fritz Camp goals while contributing to the overall resort goals and initiatives.
• Provide leadership in the operations and strategic planning for Fritz Camp including project management, ensuring a safe and efficient operation of all.
• Maintain familiarity and ensure compliance with company policy and local, state, and federal regulations relating to childcare and continue to advance knowledge of industry best practices, techniques, and standards within facilities and project management industries.
• Maintain thorough and accurate documentation (e.g. information cards, enrollment packets, attendance records).
• Maintain a written emergency plan including evacuation protocols.
• Maintain a written emergency parental/guardian communication plan.
• Actively monitor and support daily operations of the childcare team including planning work assignments, administering quality control, training staff, engaging with children, and performing attendant duties (as needed).
• Communicate with attendants and parents regarding child's behavioral or learning challenges and recommend methods of modifying inappropriate behavior and encouraging learning experiences.
• Creation and implementation of Fritz Camp standard operating procedures, policies, and service standards.
• Collaborate with Director maintaining department operating budget by actively monitoring operating costs, labor, expenses, and opportunities to increase overall efficiency.
• Ensure timely and thorough completion of administrative tasks, required reporting, and documentation.
• Assist other departments as requested during periods of high volume to maximize guest experience.
• Provide superior service to all guests (internal and external).

• Direct oversight of 10-20 team members on a seasonal basis.
• Hire, supervise and train your team through providing guidance, coaching, support, and accountability.
• Understand and implement the appropriate safety standards and educate the team on the standards through designing, training, and enforcing safety policies for team members and children.
• Accountable for team members in maintaining a safe work environment and high-quality work standards.

• Long-Term Thinking create and implement policies, procedures, and plans to proactively improve Fritz Camp as well as the team members, mitigate risk of all, and provide a safe working environment.
• Ensure Excellence in Execution by leading the team, organizing the operations of Fritz Camp ensuring standards are met or exceeded; and being accountable for the team goals while contributing to the overall resort and corporate goals/initiatives.

Education and/or Experience

• Associate degree or equivalent plus five or more years of experience working in childcare.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations

• Ability to pass a background check.

• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite programs
• Childcare software such as Brightwheel or Flaik
• Have a proven track record of maintaining a calm, professional demeanor in stressful situations.

• Able to work a flexible schedule, including weekends, with varying hours based on season and resort childcare demands.
