Grounds Maintenance Team Lead
As a Grounds Maintenance Team Lead, you will assist the Base Operations Manager in overseeing the day-to-day running of the grounds and snow removal teams. This team member will be responsible for maintaining outdoor areas at Boyne Mountain and fulfilling the Grounds plan coordinated by the Base Operations Manager.

Responsibilities:
Operational Job Functions
- Maintain lawns, gardens, trees, shrubs, and other landscaping features.
- Coordinate and schedule daily tasks for the ground team to ensure efficiency.
- Assist in coordinating and fulfilling the Grounds project plan in coordination with the Base Operations Manager.
- Train and ensure proper use and preventative maintenance of Grounds department equipment and tools.
- Communicate repair requests to the Base Operations Manager as needed and promptly.
- Maintain inventory of maintenance supplies and equipment, and order replacements as needed.
- Perform hands-on grounds maintenance work as needed.
Supervisory Job Functions
- Lead a team of up to 10 Grounds maintenance team members, including assigning tasks, providing training, and evaluating performance.
- Ensure team members adhere to safety protocols and maintain a high standard of work through safety training and weekly safety topic discussions.
- Create and maintain records of maintenance activities, equipment usage, and safety inspections.
Leadership Job Functions

Qualifications:
- Possess a valid driver's license.
- Hold at least one year of related experience.
- Demonstrate physical ability to perform required tasks, including lifting and working in various weather conditions.

- Complete OSHA 40-hour course within six months of hire.
- Have a proven track record of maintaining a calm, professional demeanor in stressful situations.
- Exhibit friendly, personable, and empathetic behavior.
- Display excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Show ability to lead and motivate a team, with excellent organizational and communication skills.
- Familiarity with safety regulations and best practices in Grounds Maintenance.
