What are the responsibilities and job description for the AM Manager position at Boyne Resorts?
The Highlands at Harbor Springs is looking for a new AM Manager to join our team! You will be responsible for coordinating, supervising and leading the great teams of people in our dining room for breakfast as well as our Café, In-Room dining and amenities. You will be responsible for scheduling, addressing complaints, and training new team members.You will also be responsible for inventory and ordering of supplies and retail items for the Café and in-room amenity trays This is a full-time, year-round position with flexible scheduling, giving you plenty of time to enjoy the various perks that come with working for an amazing ski resort.
Responsibilities
• Assist with daily staffing levels, billing transactions, inventory, etc.
• Ensure cleanliness of the dining room as well as the Cafe, including service stations with maintaining a clean, neat, and well-organized work area.
• Take appropriate action on any complaint or problem to ensure guest satisfaction.
• Work closely with culinary and other departments to properly plan and coordinate the operation of the restaurant.
• Work with the team leads in each area to ensure guest needs are being met
• Maintain awareness of accident prevention, safety, and fire prevention.
• Consistently look for new methods, techniques, equipment, and material that will improve the overall efficiency and/or quality of the department.
• Train new team members.
• Manage day-to-day operations of the Café
• Hire and onboard new staff
• Train employees on drinks preparation and proper use of coffee equipment
• Coordinate with vendors and order supplies, as needed (like takeaway cups, coffee, milk and other ingredients)
• Maintain and inventory amenity trays in room
• Properly charge guests for in-room amenities used
• Add new retail items based on seasonality and consumer trends
• Advise staff on the best ways to resolve concerns with guests and deliver excellent customer service
• Have an aptitude for mixology and creating a diverse/unique coffee menu that changes seasonly
• Execute gift bags for guests upon arrival or for special occasions
• Contracting new local vendors and artisans
• Create attractive displays through effectively merchandising product on sales floor
• Manage shop intergrity, business traffic, and care of product
• Additional responsibilities as assigned by your manager
Qualifications
• Supervisors must possess ServSafe certification or acquire it upon hire.
• Must be available to work weekends and holidays.
• Must be at least 18 years old
• Must have a high school diploma or GED
