Overview
Big Sky Resort is seeking a Facilities Maintenance Technician/Mailroom Assistant. This role will be working throughout the resort as needed. They will be expected to float as needed, assisting all facilities maintenance teams as well as mailroom most afternoons. They are responsible for executing day-to-day work orders that are requested by Resort employees or guests within the buildings in the Mountain Village Base Area. The ideal candidate will be a self-starting and internally motivated individual. They will work as a team, but often alone and will need to have self-management skills. All Maintenance Technicians must adhere to safety regulations and precautions while being comfortable working with flammable or hazardous products.
Responsibilities
- Town runs to Bozeman and scheduling pickups of goods from vendors
- Ensure compliance with federal and state law, as well as resort policy
- Operate a forklift or pallet jack to facilitate efficient package deliveries
- Must be able to assist in a variety of maintenance projects in public areas, hotel rooms, condominiums and employee only areas
- Assist with large off-season maintenance projects
- Work as a team in a friendly and professional manner with a large maintenance staff
- Desire to learn, attend trainings and obtain certifications in advanced fields
- Quality communication and working relationships with other departments throughout the resort
Qualifications
- Valid driver’s license. Must obtain Montana driver’s license within 60 days of hire
- Ability to consistently exercise good judgement
- Ability to safely operate work related equipment and tools
- Ability to communicate effectively with team members, resort managers, and all mailroom users
- Ability to effectively delegate and direct mailroom team
- Ability to lift, load, and carry up to 60 pounds
- Willing to work weekends and holidays during on-season months
