Professional Mountain bike Patrollers are responsible for providing safety and emergency services to The Summit Bike Park guests. They are the first ones on the mountain and the last ones off each day.
Come work and play at Seattle’s home mountain, The Summit at Snoqualmie. Located an hour from Seattle, at the junction where the Pacific Crest Trail crosses Interstate 90. With summer activities ramping up with spectacular Mountain Biking trails and Scenic Lift Rides, there is lots to do all year long.
Responsibilities
Job duties may include, but are not limited to:
- Using a Mountain Bike, vehicle (UTV or Truck) and hiking patrol assigned mountain areas regularly to ensure that all trails are properly marked, to identify injured or lost mountain bikers; to identify existing or potential riding hazards and to monitor and report on weather/biking conditions, biking traffic and the like.
- Perform trail opening and closing procedures as assigned.
- Stand by awaiting emergency calls. Assist with dispatch duties.
- Search for missing persons.
- Respond to and evacuate injured guests via side by side, mountain bike and hiking.
Qualifications
What we are looking for:

- Must be able to mountain bike at an Intermediate level or above.
- Medical skills
- National or Washington EMT Basic or Outdoor Emergency Care NSP Certification
- Annual BLS Provider CPR Certification
- Valid Driver’s License

Wage and Benefit Info:
The wage range for this positions is: from $21.00 to $26.00/hr.
This is a non-benefited role.
All individuals may contribute to the 401(k). An employee must work 1,000 hours in a calendar year to qualify for the discretionary match (there is a 2 year vesting cliff).
All individuals accrue sick time at 1 hour per 40 hours worked to a maximum of 64 hours per year.
