Overview

Our Hosts are the face of our restaurants and the first to interact with our guests, setting the tone for the outlets’ atmosphere. They are an integral part in making great first impressions and in assisting fellow team members in the front of house area. This position is a great opportunity to gain experience with our Food & Beverage team while working for one of the leading vacation destinations in the world.

Responsibilities

Picture yourself being a Host at Big Sky Resort and having the opportunity to: 

• Assist our servers in providing amazing service for our guests while working the host stand with a smile 
• Manage the dining room flow with excellent communication skills while facilitating table seating 
• Display an outgoing communication style that allows you to deal with all guests in a positive manner  
• Adhere to established procedures and systems for seating guests 
• Showcase your cleanliness standards by keeping the host stand and maintaining impeccable order 
• Maintain harmonious relationships with team members by being open to completing any task or function that will support the service experience 
• Demonstrate receptiveness to obtain an elevated knowledge of Big Sky Resort and the community, to share information with guests  
• Learn and follow our Boyne Standards and Boyne Basics to better serve our guests 

Qualifications

Recipe for Success:

• Have one years’ experience in the hospitality industry 
• Have a passion for guest service and the hospitality industry 
• Display a friendly attitude and an outgoing personality  
• Possess a high level understanding of dining room floor operations  
• Remain patient and cool under pressure, while completing detailed tasks 
• Exhibit clean work habits and ownership of a safe, clean work area 
• Excel in an environment with varied tasks in a steady or fast, even pace 
• Work within established standards and procedures 
• Be available to work early, mid-day and evening shifts, weekends and holidays 
• Be able to lift at least 25 pounds
