What are the responsibilities and job description for the Ski Valet position at Boyne Resorts?
Overview
The Ski Valet is responsible for creating an excellent first and last impression. They provide prompt and courteous service, and familiarize the guests with essential resort services and activities. Ski Valets will assist guests with their winter sports equipment and ensure a smooth ski-in/ski-out experience. They are responsible for tending to immediate guest needs, and following through according to Big Sky Resort’s standards. The coordination of timely delivery and retrieval of skis will be of the utmost importance.
Responsibilities
- Store skis and snowboards at the designated ski rack when guests leave their equipment at the valet
- Store boots at the designated boot rack when guest leaves their boots at the valet
- Retrieve skis, snowboards and boots when guests pick their items at the valet
- Ensure guest's belongings are kept safe and handled with care
- Ensure the ski valet area is kept tidy
- Maintain control in a high-stress, fast paced environment ensuring guest expectations are met/exceeded
- Offer guests guidance and advice on skiing conditions and recommended runs
Qualifications
- Must demonstrate attention to detail
- Must be passionate about hospitality service
- Must have excellent communication skills
- Must have knowledge of ski and snowboard equipment
- Must be able to run a cash register
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs
- Must be able to work outdoors in all weather conditions
