Responsibilities

· Must be comfortable setting up an environment conducive to safety, fun and learning.

· Must have a genuine desire to pass on knowledge of the sport and inspire others to enjoy it.
· Must be able to work outside in extreme and quickly changing winter weather conditions.
· Must be able to work in a physically challenging environment.
· Must be able to maintain a great guest service attitude while working with beginner students on green terrain throughout the season.
· Must have availability during holiday periods (December 26th – 31st, January 18th – 20th, February 15th – 17th).
· Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Qualifications
· 18 years of age.
· Must be reliable, dependable, and timely.
· PSIA/AASI Certified Level 1 status is strongly encouraged (or international equivalent).
· Must have a genuine desire to pass on knowledge of the sport and inspire others to enjoy it.
· A great guest service personality.
· A growth mindset (an openness to learning and feedback).
· Basic English language skills.
· Previous experience in snowboard instructing preferred.
Physical Demands:
· Must be able to lift up to 40 lbs.
· Must be able to ride for up to 8 hours per day.
· Must able to teach snowboard lessons in harsh winter weather (cold, snow, wind, rain, sleet, ice).
Work Environment:
· The instructor work environment is primarily outdoors in the winter weather. Temperature can vary greatly throughout the day and from day-to-day.
· Must be able to ride in snow, low visibility, powder, ice, hard pack, rain, sleet.
Position Type and expected hours of work:
· The snowboard instructor position is full-time, part-time, peak part-time, or temporary based on candidate availability.
· Typical work day is 8:30am – 4:30pm.
· Must be available for weekends, weekdays, and holidays.
· Some instructional programs occur in the evening after 4:30pm but never after 9:00pm.

Salary : $38,300 - $48,400
