We are looking for a Dental Assistant Office Manager who fits our image of top notch patient care, with true leadership, superb communication & organizational skills, great customer service, and poise. 5 years of experience in Dental management. Bachelor's degree in healthcare management or related field preferred.
Your role is to create and maintain a pleasant work environment for all, ensuring high levels of organizational effectiveness, communication and safety.
Assistant Office Manager Duties/Responsibilities include but not limited to:
Front Desk Tasks: scheduling appointments properly on phone or online, collecting insurance and verifying benefits, formulating/presenting treatment plans, discussing payments comfortably with patient, maintaining front house etiquette yourself and coaching the staff also, cleanliness of the entire office (all hands on deck), and keeping balance with front/back office. Collaborating often with main office manager and doctors regarding pertinent information to help the business grow.
Financial Aspect:
· Profit & Loss (P&L) management
· Staff and patient scheduling
· Time & Attendance (T&A) management
· Payroll process management
· Accounts Payable (AP) management
· Collection of payment in a timely manner
· Filing insurance claims and constant follow up ( goal is always (98%> collections)
Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage the day-to-day operations of the office
- Communicate well and often with insurance companies
- Maintain and implement office policies/procedures to ensure efficient workflow
- Patient satisfaction and experience
- Collaborate on internal and external marketing efforts
- Communicate with patients concerning their treatment, insurance and financial plans
- Oversee office documents, patient database and accounts receivable
- Keep office updated with health compliance/regulations
-Enforcing HIPAA, OSHA, etc.
-Collaborate with healthcare providers to optimize patient care
- Handle patient inquiries, complaints, and concerns in a professional manner
Requirements:
- Strong fiscal management skills, including budgeting and financial analysis
- Knowledge of medical records management and healthcare regulations
- Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities
- Maintain inventory of office supplies and equipment
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills I.E. Handle patient inquiries, complaints, and concerns in a professional manner
-Proficient in using office software applications (e.g., Gmail, Google Doc, Dentrix (Ascend), Dental software methods for communicating with patients inside/outside of office)
- Ability to work independently and as part of our team while collaborating often with the Office Manager for improvement of office operations/tasks of employees.
