Job Description 

The Cultural Arts Specialist plans, supervises, and implements a variety of high-yield activities and targeted programs within a cultural arts realm. Programs can include: painting, photography, ceramics, theater, creative writing and even knitting.  

Minimum Qualifications :  

• Serving youth (at least one year of direct service). You have a demonstrable record of planning and implementing youth programs.  
• Basic classroom management and the ability to direct youth and provide them with clear steps and tools that support goals achievement. 
• Creative lesson planning. You put the necessary time and work into lesson planning, but also think about the fun things you did as a kid and include those, as well!  
• Thinking on your feet. You like learning new things, and you can learn quickly. When things change - and they will - you go with the flow and are productive. 
• Creating positive and supportive relationships with youth. 

Preferred Qualifications :  

• You are a Spanish speaker. 
• You have previous experience working with youth. 
• You have a teaching certificate or background in education.
