Tollgate Elementary Boys & Girls Club serves students from Tollgate Elementary; a K-5 school in Aurora that emphasizes Expeditionary Learning. What You'll be Doing
We are looking for a passionate Youth Development Specialist to plans, supervises, and implements a variety of high-yield activities and targeted programs revolving around these core areas: athletics, cultural arts, STEM, and education. The role is essential in creating an engaging atmosphere that encourages participation and fosters a love for learning.
Minimum Qualifications
- High school diploma, GED or equivalent
- One year experience directly serving youth
Preferred Qualifications
- Basic classroom management and the ability to direct youth and provide them with clear steps and tools that support goals achievement.
- Experience with lesson plan creation and implementation
- Bilingual- Spanish preferred
- Possession of a teaching certification or background in education
- Experience working in a fast-paced environment with multiple changing priorities
- Excellent written and oral communication skills to complete reports, properly document programs, and utilize organizational data
- Experience with Microsoft Office software
- Excellent customer service skills
